COVID-19 mobile testing resumes Wednesday, September 16th

September 15, 2020

Whatcom Unified Command (WUC) will resume mobile testing tomorrow, September 16. WUC has updated operations to include protections from wildfire smoke for staff and volunteers.

Those being tested at WUC’s mobile testing sites tomorrow should keep windows closed until they are tested and use recirculating air in their vehicles while waiting in line.

Appointments scheduled tomorrow from 9 a.m. to noon at Nooksack Casino in Deming and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Christ Fellowship in Everson will operate as previously scheduled. Testing will also proceed as scheduled on the following days.

Whatcom Unified Command had cancelled mobile COVID-19 testing starting Friday, September 11 at the recommendation of the Whatcom County Health Officer due to unhealthy air quality caused by wildfire smoke.

For any changes to the testing schedule monitor www.whatcomcounty.us/covidtesting or the Whatcom County Health Department Facebook page.
